Who it's for
Women's Wrestling is a women-only program. It's built for people who've never wrestled and for people who wrestled in high school and want to keep going. Practices cover stance and motion, takedowns, mat wrestling, and live goes, scaled to whoever is in the room.
Wrestling is an NCAA Emerging Sport for Women and one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Our mission is to give Harvard women a safe, inclusive, and fun place to be part of that.
What to bring
Wear
Fitted athletic clothing (leggings or shorts, a t-shirt or compression top) with no zippers or pockets. Wrestling shoes if you have them; otherwise clean indoor sneakers or socks are fine to start.
Bring
A water bottle and, once you're doing live wrestling, a mouthguard. Hair ties for anyone with long hair. That's it.
Expect
A warm-up, technique with a partner, drilling, and optional live wrestling. You set your own pace. Coaches and teammates will meet you exactly where you are.
Tournaments & clinics
Members compete at women's collegiate and open tournaments around New England, and the club has hosted clinics with Olympic medalists. Competing is entirely optional, and we make sure first-time competitors are prepared and supported.
Who leads practice
Practices are led by our coaching staff and experienced student wrestlers. See the Leadership page for the current team.
